Welcome to Kincardine and Area "Where You're A Stranger Only Once"

We are located along the western coast of Ontario along the eastern shores of Lake Huron. Kincardine is a place for all seasons and offers a wide variety of amenities for those looking for a family home, a recreational retreat, a retirement property, a commercial or industrial property, a business or a farm property.

The Town of Kincardine has a Scottish flavour as it was originally founded by Scottish settlers around 1850. The Scottish traditions continue with the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band offering a unique Saturday evening Parade down the Main street followed by a short concert in Victoria Park from mid June to the Labour Day weekend. In early July the Kincardine Scottish Festival is held and in mid August there is a Mass Band program.

The beaches along the lake have always been an attraction to the area, offering long stretches of sand for walking and swimming. For the bicycle enthusiast there are several bike routes that run through quiet cottage areas. The town has an airport and offers a fine harbour for the boater and fisherman alike and is home to 2 annual fishing derbies and a fish hatchery. There are several golf courses in the immediate area and several others within a half hour drive.

Some of the many sport, recreational and cultural features offered within the community include 3 health and fitness centres, tennis, racquet ball and squash courts, an indoor swimming pool, ice rink and curling facilities, soccer and baseball fields. Year round theatre is provided by both the Kincardine Theatre Guild and the Bluewater Summer Playhouse. Kincardine plays host to the annual International Summer Music Festival and Jazz program in early July.

Kincardine has a hospital with emergency care and offers both short term medical care and treatment along with continuing care. Medical services available within the town include not only local doctors but also include a range of visiting physicians and specialists to serve your health needs.
